Young Professionals

The Louisiana A&WMA Section - Young Professionals are a group of young, talented, Louisiana professionals age 35 and under, interested in networking, building friendships and becoming more involved in A&WMA. The goal of the YP Group is to provide YP members with the resources and information important to YPs. As the group grows, the Section is hopeful that YP membership will increase, the YP Program at the Annual Fall Conference will be improved, YP involvement with A&WMA will increase, and our YPs will become a stronger resource for other Section members. As the YP Group develops please let us know what you’re hoping the YP Group can do, either for you or for the Section.

• On June 7, 2011 YP met at Cheesecake Bistro by Copeland’s for a presentation and social. The presentation was on “Sampling for Laboratories: Ordering Sample Containers to Reading the Final Lab Report” presented by Accutest Gulf Coast Laboratories.

• The LA Section Inaugural Golf Tournament (hosted by the YP Group) was held April 11th at Pelican Point. Thanks to everyone that came out and enjoyed the morning with us while supporting the YP Group. View Golf Pictures
