Adopt-A-School
The primary purpose of the Louisiana Section Adopt-a-School program is to select an elementary school to which the Section will award a cash donation for use at the 5th or 6th grade level in the area of science education. It is the Louisiana Section’s desire that the funds be allocated to a specific project or purpose rather than simply becoming assimilated into the school’s general fund. In addition to the cash donation, the Louisiana Section also endeavors to assist the school in its program for the year by providing speakers and arranging other educational offerings throughout the section year.
The Louisiana Section is proud to announce St. Catherine of Sienna in Metairie, La as the latest winner of the Adopt-a-School program.
The application deadline for the 2008 award will be in fourth quarter of 2008. Below is the 2007 application which provides information on the award critera.
